Since I’ve been depicting some notable personages lately, I figured it would be good to document one of my favorite photographers. He even dressed up for the occasion. He’s been doing some higher end fashion work lately, and I think all that glamor may have rubbed off on him.

In an effort to keep from getting creatively stagnant as I go through the course of a 9-5 design job, as well as staving off general laziness, I’ve undertaken this personal project.
Every day, rain, shine or somewhere inbetween, I will be making something cool. The results may be photos, design pieces, experimental type, videos, or anything else I feel is worth showing. The only caveat will be that each piece will have to be made that day, even though it might not get posted on the same day.
The end result of the project will be a book (possibly 365 pages long, maybe shorter to reduce costs), which I will make available to anyone who wants to pay for one.

While I may not have made anything cool, I did do something fairly cool. The lady and I attended a flash dance mob down by the Main St shipping yards. With the inestimable Mr. Jonathan Igharas and his awesome DJ Trike providing the tunes, a good, albeit chilly time was had by all. Common agreement is that he should add in a mini fridge stocked with inexpensive beer though.

While the official anniversary was a couple weeks ago, I was a bit too busy doing stuff to realize, it seems. Here’s to a great year in my very first design job (which will be followed shortly by the anniversary of my first year in my other design job) and a whole lot of free books!

After working on a project for The Cultch off and on for a number of months, it’s pretty cool to see my work popping up in public transit. Now I just need to find a bus shelter version somewhere. If you see one, let me know.
