This is the second edition of a previous project, revised as a hardcover and featuring an embossed cover, and printed on high quality Ingres Cream paper.

The book examines the Erwin Schrödinger’s Cat Thought Experiment, a theoretical experiment which illustrates the absurdity of applying quantum mechanics to macroscopic systems. In it, a cat is placed in a sealed box, and either lives or dies as a result of a random chance occurrence. The rub is that until you open the box, there’s no way of telling if the cat is alive or dead.

The project uses illustrations based on universal symbols to interpret and explain the experiment, and combines text which seriously discusses the experiment and its implications with humorous footnotes and captions that poke fun at the subject. The intended result is to create a non-intimidating introduction to a complex set of ideas.
