The Driving Forces of Destruction
Book, 4in x 7in, Saddle-stitch, 32 pages
This is the third in a series of four chapbooks created to explore a large, unwieldy text on rainforest depletion, which dealt with a variety of the problem's aspects. In this edition, the forces which underlie the wanton destruction of the rainforest are addressed. The notion behind the form of this book was to illustrate the senselessness of these actions, while trying to ensure a minimal impact from the book on the problem itself.
The paper used for printing the book was salvaged from the yards upon yards of craft paper used daily in the school, bound with scavenged staples, and printed using ink painstakingly removed (ink removal process patent pending) from photocopies discarded prior to recycling.
Ok, I might have made up the part about the ink.
